UK Labour under fire for failing to protect children from sexual exploitation
Former detective constable and whistleblower Maggie Oliver announces a statutory national enquiry into child sexual exploitation.
“I was a police officer for 16 years, and I resigned in horror at what I’d seen,” Ms Oliver told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“I saw the police and authorities turning away from children who were being horrendously sexually abused.
“There were 20 recommendations. None of those to date has been implemented.
“We are in the process of putting together yet another statutory national enquiry.”
