Two senior ministers quit Carroll’s frontbench | 7NEWS
Two Victorian Labor ministers, Harriet Shing and Lily D’Ambrosio, have announced their immediate resignation from Premier Ben Carroll’s frontbench and will leave politics at November’s election. The ministers, who were close allies of former Premier Jacinta Allan and hold a combined 38 years of parliamentary experience, will trigger a cabinet reshuffle expected next Monday. Premier Carroll faces mounting questions about the future of the Suburban Rail Loop project, which has already seen $7 billion paid to contractors out of nearly $15 billion in awarded contracts, and has announced a Royal Commission into construction industry corruption.
