Trump vows to handle Hamas ‘toughly’ as ‘rebels within’ organisation break ceasefire

United States President Donald Trump reacts to the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

“Well, we are going to have to see what is happening; we want to make sure that it’s going to be very peaceful with Hamas, and as you know, they have been quite rambunctious,” Mr Trump said.

“They’ve been doing some shooting, we think maybe the leadership isn’t involved in that, you know, it is some rebels within.

“Either way, it is going to be handled properly; it’s going to be handled toughly but properly.”
