Town where Babe was filmed turns Big Potato into Big Pig | ABC NEWS


An artistic dedication to the Australian classic film Babe has been unveiled in Roberston, NSW, where it was made 30 years ago. Australian filmmaker George Miller produced the film about a talking piglet, trained by a border collie to become a sheep-herding star. Setting out to find the perfect location he chose the tiny town of Robertson, known as the ‘green heart’ of the NSW Southern Highlands, south-west of Wollongong.
