Tony Burke set to reveal delayed migration plan
The home affairs minister is preparing to unveil a critical migration policy that will shape the political battlefield ahead of the next election.
Tony Burke was initially due to unveil the policy at a National Press Club address in August but cancelled at the last minute after the government failed to secure cabinet agreement on the best approach.
The announcement is expected to detail how Labor will reduce net overseas migration.
The Opposition is already questioning how the government will pay for the system.
