A three-year-old boy, Jordan Dashwood, has died in a house fire in Werribee, Melbourne’s west, that erupted just after midnight. His father Jeremy suffered severe burns attempting to rescue him and remains in a coma at the Alfred Hospital. Arson specialists and fire investigators are examining whether an e-scooter battery may have sparked the blaze that engulfed the rental property within minutes.
