A gold pocket watch belonging to John Jacob Astor IV, America’s richest man in 1912, has sold for more than $1.1 million at a Chicago auction. The watch was recovered from Astor’s body days after the Titanic sank in 1912. An Irish businessman purchased the rare artefact.
