‘There are three names being bandied around’: Starmer’s potential replacements revealed
Sky News contributor Sophie Elsworth discussed potential candidates to succeed UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
“There’s three names being bandied around at the moment, the first being the former deputy prime minister Angela Rayner, who was tossed out of her job because she wasn’t paying the correct tax on a property,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News Australia.
“There’s also the Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham. Burnham, who is not a member of parliament, but he’s very keen on the top job, and they could try and work out a way to get him a seat and get him back in the House of Commons.
“Then there’s the Health Secretary Wes Streeting, so those are the three names being bandied around at the moment.”
