‘The regime has collapsed’: Iranian people are ‘angry’ at the ‘corruption’ of their country
Stanford University Director of Iranian Studies Dr Abbas Milani claims the “arrogance” of the Iranian regime seems to be driving the protests occurring.
Dr Milani says the “collapse” of the “everyday life” for the Iranian people triggered these protests.
“I think the economic collapse of the Iranian currency was the trigger,” Dr Milani told Sky News Australia.
“They’re angry.
“Anger at the chronic capitalism, the corruption, the remarkable corruption of the regime.”
