‘Terrible’: Trump unleashes on Mamdani and AOC for laughing during 9/11 memorial service
US President Donald Trump has blasted New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez’s actions during the 9/11 memorial service.
On Sunday, Trump was asked about Mamdani and AOC seemingly laughing during the 25th anniversary ceremony of the 9/11 terror attacks.
The president labelled the pair’s behaviour at Ground Zero as “terrible” and “inappropriate”.
“I think it’s terrible. It’s not a place to be laughing, especially in that case,” Trump said.
“I thought it was terrible. The fact that they were laughing together at a very important part of the ceremony was inappropriate.”
