Teenage lifeguard saves boy from heavy surf | 7NEWS
A 16-year-old lifeguard in his first year on the job rescued a 10-year-old boy from three-metre surf at Santa Cruz, California. The teenager braved dangerous waves and was assisted by another lifeguard to bring the child safely to shore. The boy suffered no serious injuries and was returned to his parents, with the rescue being one of 34 performed by lifeguards in the area over the weekend.
