A PhD student at the University of Sydney has successfully recreated cosmic dust in a laboratory.

The artificial dust produces the same infrared signals as dust found in deep space.

This breakthrough allows scientists to study reactions that naturally take billions of years in just one hour, helping trace how the building blocks of life reached early Earth.
