Two Sydney teenagers, aged 13 and 16, have been charged with murder after a tradie in his 30s was allegedly fatally stabbed and kicked in the city’s west. Carlton Football Club players Lachie Cowan and Will Hayward were hospitalised following an off-season illicit drug scandal, with reports the substance may have been laced with other drugs. Afghanistan veterans gathered at the War Memorial in Canberra to commemorate 25 years since the start of Australia’s longest war, with 35,000 Australians having served and 47 killed during the campaign.
