Spanish government accused of ‘gifting legal residency’ to illegal migrants

Sky News host James Macpherson claims the Spanish government is “gifting legal residency” to illegal migrants.

“The Spanish government have decided rather than deal with the problem of illegal migrants, let’s just redefine the problem,” Mr Macpherson said.

“They’ve said the problem is not that we have so many illegal migrants in the country; the problem is that they’re not legal.

“They’re now gifting legal residency and work rights to migrants who apply.”
