Spain revels in World Cup glory

Spain’s World Cup team began a victory parade through the capital on Tuesday, greeted by thousands of cheering flags. The celebrations moved through central Madrid under a police escort, with crowds descending on the streets to welcome the country’s champions.

Welcoming the national team at Moncloa Palace, Spain’s prime minister praised their achievement and said Spain should dream of winning another World Cup in 2030, when the country will co-host the tournament.
