Southwest Metro opening weekend
Sydney’s new Southwest Metro line opened to commuters with services running every seven minutes to meet high demand.
The $23 billion infrastructure project recorded 37,000 passengers on its first day of operation until 6pm, with more than half travelling during the morning peak.
