Skinny tiger at Chinese zoo sparks outrage
The footage was filmed at the Chuandong Ecological Zoo south-western China. A staff member from Longchang Natural Resources and Planning Bureau said the tiger was a Siberian tiger aged between 16 and 18, making it elderly for the species and it had recently been saved after falling ill. They said the animal’s health was still poor and denied claims that it had been starved or abused. Adding that keepers were feeding the tiger beef or chicken frames every day, although it was eating only small amounts.
