Senate Estimates ‘discounts’ climate trigger

Shadow Environment Minister Angie Bell discusses the climate trigger and Environment Minister Murray Watt’s role.

“The prime minister has asked Murray Watt to have another crack at it,” Ms Bell told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“The Coalition welcomes the information that the minister outlined in Senate Estimates yesterday that the climate trigger has been discounted. It’s out.

“We would like to enter into good faith negotiations with the minister … we want to see a lasting reform in the portfolio.”
