‘Sad state of affairs’: Coalition expected to be ‘out of the race’ in Farrer by-election
Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman claims the Coalition is out of the race in terms of preferences in the Farrer by-election.
“The Nats and the Libs; they’re out of the race in terms of primary,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Steve Price.
“I suppose the vagaries of preferences could see something weird happening, but I can’t see that.
“It was Tim Fisher’s seat as well when it was held by him as a Nat, so it is a sad state of affairs.”
