Russia responds to US oil sanctions | Trump rebukes West Bank vote | Bloody Sunday acquittal


Vladimir Putin dismissed new US sanctions against Russia’s oil industry and insisted he won’t bow to American pressure. But China and India have already taken preliminary steps to reduce their dependence on Russian oil, suggesting the sanctions could have an impact.

Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Brussels as European leaders debated whether to use billions of dollars of frozen Russian assets to help fund Ukraine’s defence and reconstruction.
