Report reveals concerns about restraint methods in SA youth detention centre | ABC NEWS
Children and young people at Adelaide’s only youth detention centre are being forced into a restraint position by staff at the facility, according to a report tabled in parliament.
The report found the restraint techniques being used were risky and “may constitute a breach of human rights and clinical best practice”.
The South Australian state government says it will continue engaging with stakeholders to work through the recommendations made in the report.
