‘Read the room’: Fatima Payman slammed for trashing Kirk’s death as family grieves

Former Liberal senator Hollie Hughes discusses Senator Fatima Payman’s response to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

“That is almost condoning the assassination of Charlie Kirk or political violence in any of its forms,” Ms Hughes told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

“Read the room, people, have a look at what’s happened everywhere.

“People are being fired for the way they celebrated his assassination, and then she goes and behaves this way, well, let’s just hope the Australian people fire her at the next election.”
