Punter’s Politics says ‘lies’ being told about national spending ahead of budget
Konrad Benjamin, known online as Punter’s Politics, has said Australians do not believe politicians when it comes to government spending and upcoming budget cuts.
Benjamin made the comments about next month’s announcement while addressing the senate committee looking into the proposal for a tax on gas exports.
He’s been campaigning for several years for the introduction of an export tax similar to Norway’s.
The senate committee also heard from other conservationists, including former Greens Leader Adam Bandt, and will also ask various gas companies to also appear.
