‘Psychological rush’: Fake shopping apps fuel a new dopamine addiction in South Korea
Clinical Psychologist Dr Corrie Ackland warns fake shopping apps may provide a harmless-looking psychological rush while reinforcing unhealthy habits.
“What’s interesting about this is that it does sound like a safe way of getting enjoyment,” Ms Ackland told News24 host Jaimee Rogers.
“There still is a consequence; we are still engaging and maintaining a habit.
“It certainly doesn’t help us break unhealthy habits.”
