Proposed NDIS reforms could hand Labor sweeping new powers
Labor’s new laws to limit who can access the NDIS scheme will mean more power to the Health Minister.
The bill allows Mark Butler to put an instant stop to parts of the scheme if costs spiral.
It will also require people to have exhausted all other treatment options before they are eligible to enter the scheme.
On Thursday, the Senate halted the law after it was sent to an inquiry.
The Greens claim it is “one of the most dangerous pieces of legislation”.
