Project Freedom paused as Trump signals possible agreement with Iran
US President Donald Trump has stated Iran is seeking to negotiate an agreement to end the conflict in the Middle East.
Mr Trump said that Iran has indicated it would not pursue nuclear weapons, among other conditions.
The United States believes a potential peace agreement may be approaching, and Trump has said that Project Freedom has been put on hold.
Mr Trump has commented on this.
“We’ve had very good talks over the last 24 hours, and it’s very possible that we’ll make a deal,” Mr Trump said.
“I hate to do this, but we have to make an excursion down to Iran because we cannot let them have a nuclear weapon.”
