Tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators have marched through the CBDs of capital cities across Australia, days after Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza.
Protesters in Sydney congregated at Hyde Park, after a request to rally at the Sydney Opera House was blocked due to safety concerns.
Cars could not access Melbourne CBD roads, as protesters headed towards the US consulate general.
Many protesters have vowed to continue protesting until a Palestinian state is functional, saying a ceasefire will not be the end of war in the Middle East.
