Police taser man as he jumps from burning building

man has been taken into custody following a siege on Malabar Rd in South Coogee overnight.
Police attended a property in relation to a possibly armed man who was barricaded inside a unit.
Fire Fighters and Paramedics were on standby should the incident escalate.
At around 5.00am police and fire fighters responded to the smell of smoke coming from within the unit.
A man smashed through the front window with large amounts of smoke coming from within the unit. Flames also started to appear from a second room.
As the man smashed through the glass Police had tasers pointed at him whilst he jumped from the 1st floor unit that was well alight.
Police moved in to arrest the man whilst fire fighters forced entry to the unit that was now well alight.
The man was sedated and taken to hospital in a stable condition suffering multiple lacerations from the window breach.
