There was chaos on roads in Western Sydney as a police car chase across multiple suburbs and a carjacking left two children and one man injured.
The pursuit began in Belmore and paused in Lidcombe, where a 36-year-old man crashed his vehicle into an oncoming car while driving on the wrong side of the M4 motorway.
The driver allegedly attempted to steal a vehicle and engaged in a scuffle, which left a 25-year-old man with a stab wound to his hand.
The man was finally arrested on Cumberland Highway in Wentworthville, and his two child passengers were hospitalised with minor injuries.
