Authorities say Canadian backpacker Piper James died from drowning due to a dingo attack on a K’gari beach in January.
James drowned after sustaining multiple injuries due to, or as a consequence of, a dingo attack.
Her family has told the ABC that they can’t stop thinking about how scared she must have been in her final moments and have called for greater awareness about dingo risks.
