Pilot survives following an F-16 fighter jet crash in Germany
A major emergency response has been triggered after an F-16 fighter jet crashed at a U.S. air base in western Germany.
The pilot on board was injured, but managed to eject and leave the aircraft after the jet crashed while approaching the base during a training exercise.
The cause of the crash of the $60-80million military hardware assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing is under investigation.
