Philippine Senate on lockdown after gunshots reported


The upper house of the Philippine Congress was placed on lockdown after gunshots were reported.

Military personnel entered the Senate, and witnesses said they were instructed to take cover following the shots.

The incident occurred amid reports of a possible arrest of a senior senator wanted by the International Criminal Court.
