Pentagon set to back AUKUS pact following review
In a major boost to the AUKUS pact, the US Department of Defense is set to sell nuclear-powered submarines to Australia.
A review launched by the Pentagon has endorsed the agreement, according to Nikkei Asia.
It is expected to be finalised before Prime Minister Anthony Albanese flies to the United States on October 20.
