Penny Wong pushes plan to source Australia’s jet fuel from China
Oil companies in China have begun direct talks with Australia’s jet fuel businesses.
Foreign Minister Penny Wong met her Beijing counterpart for diplomatic negotiations on jet fuel sales yesterday.
She says the talks were an early, but positive sign of cooperation and is praising China’s response to the nation’s fuel security needs.
Australia currently has around 30 days of jet fuel.
