Pauline Hanson pushes plan to ban migrants from DFAT’s ‘do not travel’ list
One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson is pushing to ban migrants from countries on DFAT’s ‘do not travel’ list.
Opposition Leader Angus Taylor is planning Coalition support for a bill proposal in the Senate.
He wants to see migration fall below 173,000 by capping the national overall migration figures below annual housing completions.
New ABS analysis released by Mr Taylor suggests the Coalition’s immigration plans would push the NOM rate to around 0.61 of the population.
That would be its lowest ever level, barring the COVID-19 pandemic.
