Palestinians reportedly injured, bodies found but Gaza ceasefire holds | ABC NEWS
The Israel-Gaza ceasefire appears to still be in force despite reports of Palestinians suffering injuries after Israeli forces opened fire in several areas, as hundreds of thousands of Gazans stream back to the enclave’s north.
The returning residents are returning to devastating scenes with dozens of bodies reportedly found in the rubble of Gaza City.
Under the ceasefire agreement, Hamas is expected to release the remaining Israeli hostages in exchange for almost 2000 Palestinian prisoners to be freed from Israeli prisons.
Middle East correspondent Matthew Doran says the whole region is ‘on the edge of its seat’ as it has seen a Gaza ceasefire collapse before.
