Palestinian leader lays out conditions for Gaza ceasefire in UN address
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told the UN General Assembly that the Palestinian National Authority was “ready to bear full responsibility for governance” over Gaza, during an address via video link.
Abbas, who was forced to deliver the speech remotely after having his visa revoked by the US, condemned the actions of Hamas on 7 October and laid out key requirements for a ceasefire in Gaza.
