‘Outstanding hypocrisy’: Tim Walz’s anger over Trump insult ‘rings false’ amid past rhetoric
Sky News host James Morrow mocks former vice presidential candidate Tim Walz for being upset over being the target of brutal insults following a scathing attack by US President Donald Trump.
“There’s another blast from the past who’s also back in the news this week … the manly man himself, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz,” Mr Morrow said.
“President Donald Trump called Walz, in Trump’s own words in a Truth Social post, ‘seriously retarded’ … people are apparently driving past his house, yelling the slur … he’s not happy about it.
“There was something about his outrage about being called the r word that rang a little false because I seem to remember back during the campaign last year, Walz did an awful lot of spicy, non-inclusive language himself.
“The hypocrisy is outstanding and certainly entertaining, but it must not be allowed to be distracting.”
