Optus suffers another network outage disrupting emergency calls | ABC NEWS
Optus is investigating another network outage, which disrupted multiple emergency calls in New South Wales between 3 am and midday on September 28.
The beleaguered telecommunications company’s mobile tower in Dapto suffered a malfunction, affecting 4,500 customers and at least nine 000 calls.
The failure came just more than a week after a major network disruption linked to three deaths in South Australia and Western Australia.
The CEO of Optus’s parent company Singtel and Communications Minister Anika Wells are expected to provide more details on the latest network failure.
