Officers remembered one year after Porepunkah police shootings
Hundreds have gathered in Victoria’s north-east to mark one year since the shooting deaths of two police officers by alleged paedophile Dezi Freeman during a raid on a Porepunkah property.
Detective leading senior constable Neal Thompson and senior constable Vadim de Waart-Hottart were honoured in a new memorial with tributes coming from colleagues and the state’s premier and police commissioner.
