A farmer who helped foil a suspected bomb plot on a UK military base has revealed the one detail that led her to call police.
The local farmer, who did not want to be named for safety reasons, said she was driving back from a party in the early hours of the morning when she saw three abandoned white vans blocking a country road.
Moments later, she saw a group of masked men in balaclavas running into the trees and fields towards RAF Fairford, according to the UK newspaper The Telegraph.
