New WH Press Secretary Katie Zacharia a surprise choice

Republican Strategist Matt Mackowiak reacts to US President Donald Trump appointing Katie Zacharia as the new White House press secretary.

“That’s not a name I was familiar with,” Mr Mackowiak told News24.

“I do think that name caught a lot of us off guard.

“Scott Jennings, the CNN commentator, my friend, would have been an outstanding choice.

“But in the end, the president gets to choose.”
