‘Net zero is socialism’: Labor’s renewables push seeks to ‘control everything’

Nationals Senator Matt Canavan calls out Australia’s net zero push as a means of “control”.

“That’s socialism, that’s why net zero is socialism, you’ve got to have the government direct you and tell you what to do,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“It’s essentially a planned system; they are targeting something in 2050.

“Chris Bowen thinks he should plan things over 25 years and tell you what to do, control what car you buy, now what power you get, eventually it will have to be what food we eat, everything has to be controlled.”
