National anthem to be mandatory in NT public schools
Singing the national anthem will become mandatory in Northern Territory public schools under a new government policy.
Education Minister Jo Hersey says it is important students “learn the pride” that comes with the national anthem.
Under the policy, students will be required to stand and sing both verses of the anthem in English.
