Erin Patterson, convicted of murdering three in-laws with a beef wellington laced with poisonous mushrooms, is appealing her life sentence with a 33-year non-parole period in the Court of Appeal. Her defence team has outlined seven alleged trial errors and claims of unfair cross-examination, seeking to have her murder conviction quashed. The prosecution has rejected these claims and is simultaneously arguing for a harsher sentence of life imprisonment with no parole.
