Former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon is on trial for the alleged murders of TV presenter Jesse Baird and his boyfriend Luke Davies at a Sydney home in February 2024. The court heard evidence that Lamarre-Condon fabricated a cancer diagnosis in an attempt to reconcile with his ex-partner Baird months before the alleged killings. A friend of the accused testified that Lamarre-Condon pressured her to send messages about the false cancer claim to Baird, though these messages were never read.
