Munich airport closed after wave of drone sightings
Unexplained drone sightings in German airspace have prompted Munich Airport to close temporarily.
It resulted in 17 flights being grounded, affecting nearly 3,000 passengers.
In addition, 15 arriving flights were diverted to other German cities.
Munich has become the latest European airport to close due to drone sightings, following several similar closures in Denmark last week.
