Multiple climbers killed after Russian avalanche
At least 11 climbers have been killed after an avalanche on one of Russia’s highest peaks.
Six climbers remain unaccounted for on Mount Mizhirgi, in Russia’s North Caucasus, with ten managing to climb down to safety.
Rescue crews will have to battle the 5000 metre tall mountain’s icy terrain and a high risk of further avalanches to recover any remaining survivors. #avalanche #climber #snow #russia #mountmizhirgi
