More than half of university students are concerned about running out of food
Struggling with rising costs, Foodbank Victoria says university students across the country are experiencing food insecurity.
The challenges are being felt more acutely among international students, with limitations on their ability to work while studying.
The not-for-profit is bringing free fresh produce to university campuses, hoping to increase access to healthy food.
“We’ve never seen a line this long before,” said Katie Fisher, Foodbank Victoria commercial officer.
