At least 41 Australians remain unaccounted for and more than 600 people are confirmed dead after devastating flash floods hit the border region between Nepal and Tibet.
An Australian emergency support team has landed in Nepal to aid search and rescue efforts, as Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Matt Thistlethwaite says Australian diplomatic staff are working around the clock in Beijing to discover more information about missing people.
Nepali communities have held vigils across Australia to pray for victims and survivors.
